At the Lee Institute of Plastic Surgery, all aspects of cosmetic surgery are offered. From facial procedures to rejuvenate or correct imperfections, to breast and body procedures to enhance and restore what weight gain or pregnancy has done to our bodies, the latest proven techniques are available for our patients.
Because cosmetic surgery is a multi-billion dollar industry, there can be a lot of confusion in sorting through what is truly effective, safe, and innovative versus the transient fads and gimmicks that companies try to push on to consumers with large marketing campaigns. These procedures are often wrought with potential complications that can sometimes be irreversible with minimal to no discernable results that are often short-lived. All too often, the physicians who perform these procedures are non-plastic surgeons.
Always check to see if your intended surgeon is: 1. a plastic surgeon (as non-plastic surgeons will never disclose this fact upfront, calling themselves “cosmetic surgeons” instead), 2. Board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and finally 3. a physician with privileges at a major hospital to perform these same procedures, not just someone with an office in a strip mall.
